We provide bespoke meteorological and air quality forecasts with a combination of proprietary software, WRF-ARW (v4.5.2), CMAQ (v5.4) and other state-of-the-art HPC apps. The simulations can cover any area worldwide and use NRT (near-real-time) data with exclusive algorithms capturing wildfires and local emissions. Some of the advantages associated with bespoke simulations involve higher accuracy, the ability to tailor simulations to specific needs, and the feasibility of being used to perform other simulations based on their outputs. The results from bespoke simulations are distributed through two different channels:
The AWS Data Exchange program, which allows subscribers to download all files directly through the AWS portal or CLI
Directly to customers
Outputs include species predictions tabulated in CSV files and animations. Additionally, we can also provide results as netCDF files (other file formats are also available) upon request.

High-Resolution Northeastern U.S. & Eastern Canada Air Quality Forecasts
These forecasts cover the northeastern area of the U.S. and most of the territory of the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The computations use a high-resolution grid and include satellite NRT (near-real-time) data to account for the dispersion of pollutants generated by wildfires. The area encompasses 3.6 million sq km (1,390,500 mi2) and covers the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Full forecasts for this region are available from the AWS Data Exchange portal (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-dppkud7hnfzj6?sr=0-2&ref_=beagle&applicationId=AWSMPContessa) and represent hourly averages for over 100 species plus AQIs for PM2.5, PM1, PM10, SO2, O3, CO and NO2.
Western North America air quality forecasts
These simulations cover most area west of the Continental Divide in North America encompassing the U.S. western states (Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico), British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. The area covers 6.7 million sq km. This region has large forested areas that, in the last years, have caused massive wildfires affecting areas as far south as California. The 2024 wildfire season has had an early start with the Edmonton metropolitan area seeing very large PM2.5 concentrations in the first half of May as shown in the left animation.

Weather forecasts
Weather forecasts are also available upon request. The below screenshot shows the horizontal velocity components from a WRF simulation of Baja California with a 5 km resolution.
